New at Gorilli is the Copenhagen based Han Kjøbenhavn. Made of all ingredients that form the fundamentals of Danish design: Simple, but innovative and aesthetically beautiful elements, Han Kjøbenhavn is inspired by Danish culture, vintage workwear and military garments combined with a classic, clean Scandinavian style.
The Autumn / Winter 2016 collection is inspired by the desginers’ upbringing in the suburbs, where gear from the local football club was a heavy part of the founders wardrobe. History was passed on by the fathers adding weight to the crest. Football shirts and training jackets was worn with leftovers from the old mans closet.
With focus on the mid 90’s, a broad range of fabrics are used. Multiple variations of Polyester are dominating on tees, track tops and pants. Neoprene, cashmere cow leather, wool, faux-fur and sherling are used on jackets while all artworks are executed in flock and heavy rubber print.
